German Humboldt Research Fellowship for 2024-2025 (Fully Funded)
For the German Humboldt Research Fellowship 2024-2025, applications are now being accepted. For a period of six to twenty-four months, the fellowship is fully funded. Researchers from all over the world can apply for the prestigious Alexander von Humboldt Foundation Humboldt Research Fellowship Program. Thanks to this program, researchers can study independently in Germany. Each year, approximately 700 Humboldt Research Fellowships are awarded to scholars around the world.
German citizens are not allowed to apply for this fellowship. Researchers have a great opportunity here. They will help you in your studies. As a fellow, you will have access to our extensive sponsorship opportunities as well as personal support from the Humboldt Foundation. In addition to a mentor, medical insurance, round-trip airfare, family allowance, and assistance with living expenses, each fellow will receive a monthly stipend. Types of Fellowships
Two fellowship programs are available at a German research institution of your choice, in partnership with the host.
- For Postdoctoral Researchers: Those who have completed their doctorate within the last four years are eligible to apply for this program. Fellows get six to twenty-four months to conduct research in Germany.
- For Experienced Researchers: Researchers at a later stage of their career are eligible to apply for this program. Fellowships are divided into three stays over a three-year period, ranging from six to eighteen months in duration.

Financial Benefits

- German citizens are not eligible.
- A PhD or doctoral degree, or equivalent research experience, is required for all applicants.
- Excellence in research as evidenced by articles in peer-reviewed journals and publications worldwide.

How do I apply for a fellowship in Humboldt research?
The application is reviewed by the Selection Committee in November, July, and March. Typically, the processing of applications takes four to eight months.
