- It conforms to the curriculum structure of the Ministry of Education of China, which assigns master’s degree holders to 13 discipline categories:

Exemption for proficiency in English
- For foreign applicants whose first language is English or who have obtained an English-taught undergraduate or higher degree, English proficiency test results are not required.
- Regardless of prior education, applicants from Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan (HMT) are required to submit English proficiency test results. Those who do not obtain a passing grade must enroll in Peking University in English as a second language.
- English proficiency test results must be submitted by applicants from Mainland China.
- Must take approved English proficiency tests after September 1, 2023.
English language tests are not acceptable.
