The February 2025 intake for National Taiwan University Scholarships is now open. 50 PhD programs and 100 Masters programs will be available for admission in February 2025. Applications for the scholarship are accepted from nationals of any country. One of the top universities in Asia is National Taiwan University (NTU). Taiwan is home to the University of Taipei. To attract overseas students, NTU offers several scholarships, including fully paid university and government scholarships.

  • The NTU Outstanding Overseas Graduate Student Scholarship is open to all overseas applicants seeking admission to NTU University. Scholarships include:
  • Up to TWD 65,000 (USD 2,167) in tuition waivers are offered per semester.
  • An allowance of TWD 8,000 (USD 267) per month for Master’s degree candidates.
  • For PhD students: Students enrolled in the College of Liberal Arts, Social Sciences, Law, and Management will receive TWD 10,000+ (USD 333+).
  • Students from the Colleges of Science, Engineering, Medicine, Bioresources and Agriculture, Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, Public Health, and Life Science are eligible to apply. TWD 15,000+ (USD 500+).

Exemption from submitting language proficiency certificates for programs taught in English: You can avoid taking IELTS if you meet one of the following criteria:
